Chess
Learn and play chess with your classmates. Practice strategies, openings defenses, and play in tournaments. Top players are given an opportunity to enter into outside tournaments. For beginners and advanced. Chess club to meet starting October 29 on Tuesdays after school!

Chorus
Chorus will start on September 30, 2024. We invite all students who enjoy singing and performing with others. We have lots of events happening this year including a performance at the Wolves Game and collaborating with Fremd High School. Activity bus will be provided to those who need a ride home.
Attention all piano players! We are in need of a piano accompanist to help with Chorus rehearsals. Please email Mrs. Wise if you have any questions!

Crochet
French Club
Description: French Club welcomes any 6th, 7th or 8th grade student who is interested in learning about and celebrating all things French. You do not have to be taking French to join. French Club will meet every Tuesday when school is in session from 2:15-3:45 beginning December 10th through March 4th. Meetings will be held in Room 128 and will focus on topics including holidays, cuisine, music, film, values/beliefs, and more.
How to join: Sign up on the Google Form in the Jaguar Spot before December 10th.

Girls Who Code
Students will learn a variety of programming languages, including Scratch, Swift, Python, and JavaScript. Activities and tutorials offer a range of difficulty for beginner programmers who have little to no experience programming to more advanced learners who will engage in more advanced topics like data structures

Multicultural Club
TJ Multicultural Club welcomes 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in learning about and celebrating cultural diversity. Multicultural Club has meetings every other Wednesday beginning October 30 through spring break. Meetings will be held in Room 129 and will focus on a variety of global topics including holidays, cuisine, music, film, values/beliefs, and more.

NJHS
8th-grade students with a cumulative GPA in 7th grade of 3.75 and above are invited to join the National Junior Honor Society. NJHS is a service organization of students that helps our immediate TJMS family and people within our community. Membership is more than an honor, it incurs a responsibility and an obligation to demonstrate those outstanding qualities that are associated with NJHS throughout the year.

This club will be trained to take quality (in action) photographs during all school events. Spirit Squad
Spirit Squad welcomes all jaguars who are passionate about school spirit! Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, October 9th right after school in the Library. After that first meeting, we will be meeting after school from 2:30PM-4:30PM on Wednesdays (for cheer) and 2:30-3:10 (for cheer section). Spirit Squad consists of two parts: one will be the cheer/dance spirit squad (performs at basketball games, school events, etc) and a cheer section part of spirit squad (comes up with ways to show school spirit around the school such as spirit days, decorating lockers, making posters, etc). Please feel free to reach out to Ms. Catino with any questions you may have!

TJTV
TJTV is the team that produces our daily morning announcements and special features. Students create content for the announcements using a variety of tools, including GoPro video and photography, WeVideo, Canva, Google Slides and music production software. There are opportunities for all skill and comfort levels and on and off air contributors.
